About Us
History
Caldicot Rangers were a schoolboy football club, which evolved into organisers of football trips in the South West of England and South Wales. With around 40 trips every single season, to several different grounds, they established the reputation for offering the finest trips, for the most reasonable prices. They became an official Liverpool Supporters Club branch in 2001 and enjoyed a lot of exciting football matches at home and abroad.
The instigator of this hugely successful operation and its lifeblood from founding up to the present time was the late Mike Nicks who tragically passed away in May 2013 leaving a huge void in the lives of his many friends and fellow supporters who he did so much to help fulfil their dreams of watching Liverpool play. As a mark of respect the members attending the last game of the 2012/13 season took a banner into the ground in Mike’s honour.
Following Mike’s untimely death, it became evident that many of the long standing members of the branch were committed to continuing the good work that Mike was dedicated to and in part as a tribute to his legacy, a new club has been formed, initially to continue trips on a smaller scale and focused on home Premier League matches.
Caldicot & Gloucester OLSC
A new name to reflect the increasing number of members from Gloucestershire and the Forest of Dean and a new structure for the 2013/14 season. The new committee was formed on 29th June 2013 and the club was officially accepted as a branch by the Official Liverpool Supporters Club on 1st July 2013. This website was launched in late July 2013 and the new club’s first trip to Anfield will take place on Saturday 17th August for the match v Stoke City.
The Committee
Chairman: Stuart Buchan
A lifelong Red since the 70’s – my earliest memories are Keegan leaving and Dalglish arriving, and not wanting to support my brothers’ team, Leeds United!! I followed them home and away through my late teens and twenties, before family came along and trips became less frequent.
I joined the Branch back in the 2016/17 season, after a hiatus of a few years of not going to Anfield but was drawn back by the excitement of Jurgen Klopp’s arrival and went from doubter to believer. Since then, I have been lucky enough to have seen some great games and triumphs and met some great people who have become good friends. I joined the Committee for the start of the 2021/22 season, becoming Membership Secretary, before moving on to become Treasurer and then Chairman for 2023/24.
See you in The Oakey!
Secretary: Ian Kane
Born in Norris Green L11 just a stones throw from Anfield. Started watching The Reds in the early 70’s, initially standing in the Boys Pen before graduating to become a Kopite and in latter years an Anny Roader. I’m a veteran of 1 European Cup Final, 6 FA Cups and 5 League Cups. So many heroes over the years but The King has to take the mantle as being the greatest. Pre-match you’ll normally find me in the Elm House drinking a pint of dark stuff never too far from my match day partner and the other love in my life, my wife Julie.

What does Caldicot & Gloucester Official Liverpool Supporters Club do?
We operate all inclusive football trips to Liverpool home Premier League matches & provide a forum for the many hundreds of Liverpool fans in South East Wales & South West England to share their views and opinions on all things LFC.
We use executive coaches, provided by Bennetts all of which will usually have a toilet and refreshments on board, and we have an established and professional relationship with all of our Drivers. The majority of the trips will be accompanied by one of our club officials, who will help to make the journey as enjoyable and relaxed as possible.
For many of the members, an integral part of the trips we run is our pre-match drink at a variety of pubs in the Anfield area. This gives our members an opportunity to mix together and have a bit of fun before the match begins. Most travellers choose to drink in the Oakfield pub which is a short walk from Anfield stadium itself, but there are many other options available and you are free to do whatever works for you.
This website allows you to purchase tickets for the coach travel and also access tickets for our events like our regular away days and our Annual General Meeting. Members will get additional benefits of cheaper travel and free access to the AGM, while non-members can still get involved, but will pay slightly more.
